Research help:
David Shedden at Poynter jumps in again with a very useful compilation of Links on the Geneva Conventions and other information for stories on the Abu Ghraib problem.

For more information on Abu Ghraib and the connection to the detainees at Guantanamo, Sheila Lennon at Providence Journal has Background on Rick Baccus, former Guantanamo commander (and Taguba's testimony).

  • I thank Jack for the comment, and agree that having the other blog behind registration is a problem, although I've never had to re-enter my id and password after the first time. Wonder why that happens to others? At any rate, if enough people request it, I have an put the Herald blog on Blogspot. Opinions?

    By the way, I suppose you log on to your weblog as an internal station(or in other word as a server extension) of Miami Herald network so you are not requested to enter user name and password each time ...
